Mr. Martino shares a passion for energy solutions that protect and preserve the planet. He brings over a decade of legal experience in the renewables industry to Clean Energy Counsel, having represented developers, financial institutions, equity investors, landowners, and tenants. A veteran of prominent international law firms, Mr. Martino advises on a broad range of matters related to project development, acquisition, disposition, and financing. That includes leading the negotiation of real estate transactions, EPC contracts, build-transfer agreements, power purchase agreements, renewable energy credit purchase agreements, land use entitlements and permitting approvals, and project acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Clean Energy Counsel, he served as senior in-house counsel at First Solar, Recurrent Energy, and SunEdison. He applies an in-house attorney’s understanding of client needs and commercial sensitivities to his work. Mr. Martino's experience includes representing a major US solar developer in siting, permitting, financing, and sale of solar projects across the country. He represented another solar developer in a 100-megawatt Build-Transfer Agreement with a utility for a solar photovoltaic project, one of the first to be signed for that kind of facility in the United States.
