This CLE webinar will discuss four types of bullying: by opposing counsel, by clients, by colleagues, and by judges. The panel will provide specific examples of bullying in each of those four categories, along with real life examples of how they handled such bullying. A key aspect of the program is to provide the audience with reliable tactics to combat bullying.

Description

Bullying is rampant in the legal profession. Nearly every lawyer has been bullied at some point in their career. And some will even admit that they have been guilty of being the bully.

Bullying occurs even though codes, rules, and standards governing the profession prohibit bullying (although without using that word). Why is that?

Listen as our esteemed panel explores the extent of bullying in the legal profession, the causes of bullying, and why lawyers continue to bully even though professional standards prohibit such conduct. The panel will also offer practical ways to combat bullying.
