This CLE webinar will provide family law counsel with guidance on recognizing common indicators of high-conflict divorce cases and effective strategies for handling such cases. The panel will share insights on maintaining client control, managing aggressive litigation tactics, asset division, and more.

Description

High-conflict divorce matters involve heightened emotional, financial, and legal challenges. These matters can involve aggressive litigation tactics; abuse and domestic violence claims; parental alienation claims; disputes over child custody, support, and asset division; or a combination of these factors and others.

Contentious divorce cases will draw upon skills in discovery preparation, using expert witnesses, employing strategic negotiation tactics, and responding to aggressive opposing counsel. The more contentious the case, the more important it will be that counsel can draw upon emotional resiliency to help effectively maintain client control, manage expectations, de-escalate conflict, and maintain a professional demeanor.

Counsel must be prepared with a thorough understanding and command of tools and strategies available to protect their client's interests while managing these often volatile disputes.

Listen as our panel discusses important considerations in these complex matters and identifies best practices and strategies for navigating the challenges they can present, from initial filing to final judgment.
